Hawaiian Airlines is going global. Their first flight to Taipei, Taiwan departed today from Honolulu, Hawaii. Flights will be offered three times a week at $1198. They will be using their Airbus A330 for the trip. Customers who are members of HawaiianMiles can start earning and redeeming miles for this route immediately.

According to USA Today, "Taipei becomes Hawaiian's ninth new international route announced or inaugurated by the carrier in less than three years." Hawaiian Airlines is trying to become more aggressive on the global market and will be slowly introducing more routes that will connect the Hawaiian Islands and Asain countries in the coming months.
