With the Dollar at a record high against the British Pound, It has never been a better time to visit the UK.The Dollar now buys 18% more than it did four months ago. And it is not just the buying power, the market for hotels is also fierce, and there are many bargains to be had.


Often the casual tourist on vacation in the UK just visit the usual places in London: Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Harrods, etc. However, there are a wealth of high quality and fun things to visit outside the capital:
Try the bustling city of Brighton, on the South coast about an hour from London.Brighton is a vibrant place with lots of culture such as the Pavilions, a seaside palace built by King George IV in the 1800's, and many other Georgian buildings. But it's not just culture where Brighton hits all the buttons; there is a thriving nightlife with many clubs and bars as well as Michelin Star restaurants.


In the English Midlands, is Stratford Upon Avon, the Birthplace of William Shakespeare. This is a truly beautiful town with many places devoted to Shakespeare; you can see his plays every day !.

The West of England is also full of interesting sights visit the Regency town of Bath. and see the wonderful Roman Spa and the 19th Century streets of 'the Crescents'. Further West still is the English Riviera centred around the pretty seaside town of Torquay with its quaint guest houses. and tea shops offering afternoon Cream Teas with scones smothered with cream and English 'jam'.

For the younger fun seeker there are the beaches of Cornwall, particularly around Newquay, where the Atlantic is perfect for Surfing. The Gulf Stream makes Cornwall particularly warm, and the scenery is spectacular, many a case of Brandy was smuggled ashore here.
