Free Wi-Fi on Alaska Airlines
11/19/2010
Alaska Airlines is offering free Wi-Fi on its planes through Thanksgiving and beyond.
The airline said Friday there would be no charge for in-flight Internet through Dec. 9 (courtesy of the Honda corporation).
Alaska's Wi-Fi usually costs $4.95 to $12.95 per flight, depending on the length of the flight and the type of device used.
More than 70 percent of Alaska's Boeing 737 aircraft have in-flight Internet, and the airline expects to complete fleet-wide installation in early 2011 (web access on Southeast Alaska flights is expected by the end of this year).
