Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after N. Lysenko is the first Ukrainian steady-state opera house, where performances are put on the Ukrainian, Russian, French and Italian.
Cathedral of the Intercession of Holy Virgin or Intercession Cathedral is located in Kharkov on the University Street, 8, and is the parish church in Kharkov Diocese of Ukrainian Orthodox Church, built in the name of Intercession of Holy Virgin.
It should be admitted that the Police Museum has existed in Kharkiv for a long time now. There were several such museums in the former Soviet Union, but our museum was the highly appreciated by high rank police officials from other towns. There were even attempts to emulate Kharkiv museum. But during the period of separation of former republocs and "desovietization" the museum was forgotten.
The Small Southern Railway is one of the most favorite places of young citizens of Kharkov. Usually it starts its work on the 1 May and works till the end of October.
Kharkiv Zoo is the oldest zoo in Ukraine, it was founded in 1896. It is located in the heart of the city next to the Park Shevchenko. The Zoo occupies the territory of 22 hectares, where 6810 animals of 385 species found their home. Among them 103 species are considered as rare and are under protection. Many of them breed well in the homely setting of Kharkov Zoo.

The history of the museum collection that celebrate its 200 anniversary this year is of great interest. It contains more than 20 thousand of displays, among them there are unique works of world and Ukrainian masters of painting, graphic arts, sculpture, arts and crafts.
Simferopol is the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, its administrative, industrial, scientific and cultural center. It is located in the center of the Crimean peninsula on the river Salghir between two ridges of the Crimean Mountains - internal and external. Simferopol is justly called the “Gates of Crimea”, where all roads meet, leading to all corners of the wonderful Crimean land.
Simferopol International is airport in Simferopol, Ukraine. It was built in 1936. On January 21 1936, the Council of People's Commissars of the Crimean ASSR adopted a decree on allocation of land and beginning construction of an airport in Simferopol and opening a Simferopol - Moscow airline since 01.05.1936. In the pre-war years, the flights were performed to Kyiv, Kharkiv and other cities of Ukraine.
Sevastopol is the largest maritime trade port and in the same time it is an industrial, recreational, cultural and historical center of the southern Ukraine. It is located on the southwestern part of Crimean peninsula. Translated from the Greek Sevastopol means “majestic, worthy of worship, the heroic city”. And Sevastopol justified its name with its history.
“Belbek” Sevastopol International Airport is airport in Sevastopol, Ukraine. The airfield was first constructed in June 1941, during the first year of World War II. Initially it housed a military fighter aviation unit. Constructed without a hardened runway, after the war the airfield received a concrete runway, but remained exclusively in use by the military.
