Sofia Airport is the main airport in Sofia and Bulgaria. Located 5 km (3.1 mi) east of central Sofia. In 2014 the number of passengers served on the airport was 3.8 million. It was recently renovated and Terminals 2 and 3 are now open. Nowadays the airport has a modern European look. Also the Metro has been expended to the airport.
In the perfect center of Sofia, a church with golden domes towers above the building of the National Parliament, the Univesity of Sofia and the statue of the Russian Tzar Alexander II, named Alexander the Liberator by the Bulgarian people. Alexander Nevski Cathedral is one of the main symbols of the city and the biggest cathedral in the country.
