Simferopol is the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, its administrative, industrial, scientific and cultural center. It is located in the center of the Crimean peninsula on the river Salghir between two ridges of the Crimean Mountains - internal and external. Simferopol is justly called the “Gates of Crimea”, where all roads meet, leading to all corners of the wonderful Crimean land.
Simferopol International is airport in Simferopol, Ukraine. It was built in 1936. On January 21 1936, the Council of People's Commissars of the Crimean ASSR adopted a decree on allocation of land and beginning construction of an airport in Simferopol and opening a Simferopol - Moscow airline since 01.05.1936. In the pre-war years, the flights were performed to Kyiv, Kharkiv and other cities of Ukraine.
Sevastopol is the largest maritime trade port and in the same time it is an industrial, recreational, cultural and historical center of the southern Ukraine. It is located on the southwestern part of Crimean peninsula. Translated from the Greek Sevastopol means “majestic, worthy of worship, the heroic city”. And Sevastopol justified its name with its history.
“Belbek” Sevastopol International Airport is airport in Sevastopol, Ukraine. The airfield was first constructed in June 1941, during the first year of World War II. Initially it housed a military fighter aviation unit. Constructed without a hardened runway, after the war the airfield received a concrete runway, but remained exclusively in use by the military.

Yalta is a city in Crimea, southern Ukraine, on the north coast of the Black Sea. The city is located on the site of an ancient Greek colony, said to have been founded by Greek sailors who were looking for a safe shore on which to land. It is situated on a deep bay facing south towards the Black Sea, surrounded by wooded mountains. It enjoys a warm Mediterranean climate with many vineyards and orchards in the vicinity.
Livadiya is small town in Crimea, Ukraine 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) west of Yalta. A minor Crimean Tatar settlement in Middle Ages, Livadiya was named after the ancient Greek entrance into paradise in 1835, when a notable landscape park was laid out here. Livadiya became a summer residence of the Russian tsars in 1861. Emperor Alexander III of Russia died there in 1894. The Livadia Palace, built in 1910-11, is now a museum. It was formerly a summer palace of the last Russian Imperial family. In 1945, it served as the meeting place of the Yalta Conference and residence of Franklin Delano Roosevelt during the Conference. Nowadays, Livadiya is known primarily for producing wine and is also a noted health resort.
The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, in Yalta, is one of many such named cathedrals. A number of cathedrals with the name 'Alexander Nevsky' were built in countries like Ukraine, Israel and Russia. These buildings were built during the rule of either Alexander II or Alexander III of Russia to celebrate them as leaders. The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral situated in Yalta, a beautiful seaside resort, was built in the early twentieth century, in 1902.
The Church of Christ's Resurrection is a popular tourist attraction on the outskirts of Yalta in the Crimea, known primarily for its scenic location, overlooking the Black Sea littoral from a 400-metre cliff near Baidarsky Pass.
Nikitsky Botanical Garden is one of the oldest botanical gardens. It is located in Crimea, Ukraine, close to Yalta, by the shores of the Black Sea. It was founded in 1812 and named after the settlement Nikita, Ukraine. Its founder and first director was Russian botanist Christian Steven of Swedish descent. The total area is 11 square kilometres. It is a scientific research centre, a producer of saplings and seeds, and a tourist attraction.
