Traugutta Park was built in 1925, according to the project of Leon Danielewicz and Stanislaw Zaroda-Zycienski. It commemorates death of general Romuald Traugutt, dictator of January Uprising, who has been executed here. Main attraction of the park is Legionow Fortress, built in 1852-1854 to protect Warsaw Citadel.

A historic park of great local significance, Traugutta Park can be found on the northerly side of New Town Warsaw and features a poignant memorial to its namesake Romuald Traugutt, a local Polish war hero from the 19th century. Gardens, lawned areas, seats, sculptures and springtime bulbs are just some of the attractions here.

The highlight of the park is a sessesionist statue representing motherhood. It dates back to 1902 and was made by a famous Polish sculptor Waclaw Szymanowski.
