Kenya
Kenya is a land that seems almost unntouchable; it's sprawling, wild terrain and wildlife seen only in movies allows it to be a top destination. The activites offered in Kenya are immense and intense.
You could go for a Dhow Tour through Lamu and sail on the rivers to take a journey back through time. A dhow is a sailing vessel that has three or more masts and can be thought of as almost ancient. Locals are more than willing to bargain prices and take full advantage of this, never pay their first offer or even their second. Find a captain that you like and always go with your gut.
If you really enjoy traveling by water, consider taking a paddleboard or powerboat through the country, depending on whatever speed you prefer to travel. There are extensive options for both and can be bartered down in price to whatever level you're comfortable with.
The Tewa Caves are a major attraction and offer a glimpse into the world before human kind was ever around. For the best effect, wait until you're in the deepest part of the cave and then turn off your headlamp. At first it's eerie but it slowly turns into a calming feeling and one that you'll never forget.
If adventure isn't your calling and you'd rather take it slow, consider a bird walk or wildlife tour. There are extensive opportunities and what better place to look for wildlife than in Africa. On that note, Hells Gate National Park is home to jutting scenery but also to foreign animals that are fascinating to study. Be sure to see the rock formations while there.
Lastly, if you have no idea what you want to do or there are just too many things on your list to be economically acheiveable, consider a vacation package. Do your reasearch on the companies you're looking at and make sure that they're legitimate but also keep an eye out for lower prices. Tours can run anywhere from 3 days at $1200 to 25 days for $15000 so you have a lot of flexibility and options.
