The Swarovski Crystal Worlds Austria
Twenty minutes from Innsbruck, in the town of Wattens, a water-spouting giant with sparkling eyes guards a glittering subterranean world. This isn't sci-fi, it's the mystical Swarovski Crystal Worlds.
Opened in 1995 to celebrate 100 years of the legendary crystal company, the glittering labyrinth has already enchanted more than ten million visitors from around the world. The installations, sculptures and paintings by renowned artists such as Brian Eno, Jim Whiting, Keith Haring and Salvador Dalí lead you through a sparkling labyrinth where dream and reality seem to merge. As you'll observe, the sheer versatility of crystal is staggering. Fragrant compositions and mysterious sounds make a visit to this magical crystalline world an unforgettable journey for all the senses.
Since its opening in 1995 the Crystal Worlds in Wattens have attracted more than seven million visitors. The Austrian artist André Heller created a world of fantasy and light that invites the visitor to wonder, dream and tarry.
With its extension in 2007 the Crystal Worlds are more impressive than ever. The largest Swarovski showroom in the world displays the newest crystal creations from their own designers. The exclusive Café Terra will spoil you with its delicacies. The area is surrounded by a park with an alpine garden, sculptures and a lovely view over the surrounding area.
We wish you an adventurous day in Wattens!
