Sydney

09/30/2016

Sydney is Australia's most populous city with over 4.5 million people residing within its limits. The sights and sounds of Sydney are especially unique, and offer a sense of adventure wherever you go.

Visit the Sydney Opera House, perhaps the most famous landmark in Australia. Catch a show or view it from a ferry tour in the Harbour. Shows run weekly and ferries run daily.

Bondi Beach is one of the most popular destinations in Sydney because of its fantastic surfing but beware of the droves of tourists that will want to partake in this beautiful beach with you. Try Tamarama Beach if you want fewer people but know that it is sometimes closed to swimmers because of its strong surf. Tamarama Beach is surrounded by cliffs and offers a great place to relax.

The Taronga Zoo is 52 acres and filled with some of the strangest creatures on earth. The Zoo houses a Porntip, a Gung, a Luk Chai, and a Pathi Harn, to just name a few. Try to get to the zoo early in the day to beat the heat and avoid some of the crowds. It's open daily from 9-4.

If sea animals are more your style, check out the Sydney Aquarium. As Sydney's most profitable attraction, thanks to a high entrance fee and spectacular showcases, Sydney Aquarium is well worth the time and money. See a plethora of sharks, huge rays and fish of all shapes and sizes. Again, try to get here early as it does get very crowded.

Getting There: Sydney is a major international Hub and many airlines fly there, from the U.S.: Qantas, British Airways, Virgin Asia, Philippine , and United are among them. Check out http://www.paylessflights.com for the cheapest fares.
