Baggage information

Carry on luggage
All carry-on luggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you
First and Business Classes
1 bag or hand-bag allowance (the size of the piece not to exceed 115 cm)
A documents briefcase (the size of the piece not to exceed 100 cm)
The total weight of both luggages not to exceed 9 kg.
Guest Class
1 bag (the size of the piece not to exceed 115 cm)
The total weight of the luggage not to exceed 7 kg.
Each passenger is allowed to carry some personal belongings that are not calculated in the hand luggage weight limit (coat or cover / sunglass or sticks for walking / amplifier dual lens / small camera / women hand bag or purse for normal use only / book to read during the flight / food for children to be used during the flight / child cradle)
All passengers traveling to and/or from airports within the United States and the EU countries, and on board transit flights crossing these airports is allowed to:
carry only one piece of hand luggage.
carry within the hand luggage some materials such as (food and milk for children / medicines / computer (laptop) / mobile phone and some necessary electrical materials / money and passenger's passports and travel documents.
It is a must to use a transparent plastic bag to put food and milk for children / medicines (the total volume of all packages placed in the plastic bag is not to exceed one liter), to be examined by the security services.
The traveler may have to provide proof for the fact of these drugs.
Note: The security authorities will confiscate the items that exceed the limits specified above, or when they are not placed in plastic bags.

First Class - 40 kg
Business Class - 30 kg
Guest Class - 20 kg.
For passengers traveling to or from the United States of America

In the case where the passenger needs to carry luggage weighing more than 32 kg, and can not be separated into pieces (such as musical instruments / sports tools / medical equipment ... etc.), the passenger must notify Saudi Arabian Airlines in advance to take the necessary arrangements for the luggage to be transferred.

Prohibited items
Firearms, ammunition, swords, and knives.
Explosives, incendiary materials, flammable, toxic substances, and compressed gases.
For flights departing from or to the United States of America and the European Union countries, there are additional security measures prohibiting the carriage of certain materials within the hand luggage in accordance with the following:
All liquid materials, gels, toothpaste, liquid cosmetics, and perfumes.
Cigarette lighters in both carry on baggage and checked luggage.

Children information

Traveling with Children
Saudi Arabian Airlines accepts the travel of unaccompanied minors when traveling alone or with persons aged 15 years or more. Saudi Arabian Airlines deals with the following age groups when children traveling are unaccompanied:
- Children age five and older, who have not attained the age of twelve, can be accepted to travel alone or with another person aged fifteen years or older.
- Children age twelve to fifteen can be admitted as unaccompanied children or if parents or guardian requested, they may be treated as unaccompanied children.

Pets

Saudi Arabia Airlines transfer pets in the passenger cabin and in the controlled area of the aircraft. The pets must have a health certificate proving that they are free of disease as well as a certificate that allows their transport within or across the country if the different conditions of transport as follows:
- Cats and small birds with weight including the cage up to (5 kg) are allowed in the cabin.
- Dogs are transported in the plane stores of all Saudi aircrafts except aircraft model (AB300/MD90/B737) because of the lack of ventilation system inside the plane stores.
-Trained Dogs/ Rationalized Dogs (for the blind and hearing persons) are transported in plane stores without collecting any additional fees from the passenger.
- Large and wild animal must travel as air freight.
- Under regulations of the National Authority for the Protection of Wildlife and Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the import, export or transfer of all living organisms and fungal products is not allowed. It is permitted only after obtaining a written approval. The necessary permit may be obtained through the following address :
